‘They think it’s all over, well it is now!’ (or is it!?!)

By John Williams MRTPI, Land and Development Department.

When the world of football gathers in South Africa in one weeks time there will be plenty of optimism around the England team and the prospect of repeating the success of 1966. But there is also cause for optimism within the residential land market if the latest market indices are to be believed.

SETTING OUR GOALS FOR THE FUTURE AT A RUGBY CLUB- SO APT!

By Tim Rudman, Head of Marketing.

The debate within companies has been going on for years. Is there value in having an annual staff conference? Can the loss of time in the office of many of your key staff and the resulting impact on revenue and client service make it a valuable exercise? Does the company gain anything from it?

Talking to you!

By Alice Harding, Commercial Agency, Birmingham

“It’s easy, find out what property the person is looking for, make sure we have the details and it’s still available then send them the details, along with anything else that’s similar”

If only it was as simple as that to take enquiries and send out particulars.

A large part of my job is to talk regularly with people who are starting or refining a search for property. It is my responsibility to make sure they get the brochures they want and any other property brochures that may also suit their requirement.

By Richard Mounsey, Commerical Agency Stoke-on-Trent

As Harris Lamb’s Stoke Office begins to enjoy the lighter mornings and longer evenings and with the property market in North Staffordshire passing through it traditional spring lull, enquiries have slowed and completions are even harder to come by than usual.

Since Christmas however, the market has performed steadily with enquiry levels improving, coupled with a returning confidence to occupiers, who are starting to commit to lease terms and purchases. Landlord’s aspirations are also starting to marry with occupiers expectations which, whilst taking some time to adjust, is manifesting itself by way of renewed letting and sales activity.
