‘Shall I start at the beginning?'

Having started on reception, then moving to the agency department and now  6 years on I find myself in the planning department  to say there has never been a dull moment for me at Harris Lamb is an understatement!

Before joining the planning team I thought the majority of a planners work involved filling out a form for the council and waiting to hear a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ but I soon realised that was not the case.

From helping with various types of applications, from a change of use to an application for wind farms to promotion of a major housing site in Worcestershire it is clear how important it is to keep up to date with developments and changes within the economy and legislation. The election has been fascinating as we wait to see how the new Government will affect out daily workload.

I have seen and experienced different areas of the company and a key characteristic that stands out as being fundamental throughout are positive professional communication and continued growth of knowledge and expertise, all of which have been fundamental stepping stones which have helped Harris Lamb continue with their success in the recent challenging times.

So here’s to another six years…and more…!
