A big well done to everyone who took part in the St Basils Fundraiser Walk 2010! The walk continues to raise money for St Basil’s Charity, which provides support, advice and accommodation for young people aged 16 – 25.

Three teams set off on the morning of Saturday 5th June, two attempting the 14 mile walk and one braving the 28 mile trail. The weather was warm and humid, although the sun was dampened most of the day by cloud, which provided perfect conditions for a long walk through the Cotswolds. The teams set off from Chipping Campden at around 8am and the route traversed the undulating Cotswold region, at its highest point passing around Broadway Tower.

All teams managed to complete the route, albeit some with rather more unplanned detours than others! The 28 mile team completed in just over 9 hours, which placed them 11th overall out of 150 teams, a great result!
