REPAIRS SPECIALIST EXPANDS PRESENCE WITH PURCHASE OF SECOND DROITWICH SITE

Specialist car body repair firm Hall Brothers has bought a Droitwich industrial unit as it expands its operation within the area.

The business beat a number of other interested parties to secure Unit 34 on the North Street Industrial Estate.

Hall Brothers already occupies 2 North Street, and has purchased the additional site at the business park.

Harris Lamb was instructed to sell the 660 sq ft unit at the end of 2016 and Steve Fisher, of the Worcester office, said it had attracted a lot of interest.

REPAIRS SPECIALIST EXPANDS PRESENCE WITH PURCHASE OF SECOND DROITWICH SITE“There are very few decent freehold sites on the market in the area, and offers quickly exceeded the £70,000 guide price.

“After a number of enquiries and offers, we closed the sale with Hall Brothers.

Steve said that the sale, and the interest preceding it, was further evidence of the ongoing demand for industrial property across Worcestershire.

The shortage of industrial stock within the region has been a hot topic over the past two years, with the situation reaching an all-time high in recent months.

“Rents on industrial sites remain high due to the increasing demand for commercial property within Worcestershire, and with those remaining business parks with availability quickly filling up and enquiries outstripping supply, it’s not surprising that opportunities like these to buy quality units on a freehold basis are met with such enthusiasm,” Steve explained.

The deal is the latest Harris Lamb has overseen in Worcestershire in recent weeks, further to the letting of the final three units at West Court, Bromsgrove, the letting of the South Wing of Guildhall in Worcester to Quikplan Limited and securing the five-year lease of premises at Malvern Hills Science Park on behalf of BetaTec Hop Products.
