A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD: HARRIS LAMB SECURES LIGHTINING RETAILER A PRIME SPACE AT THE MAILBOX

Harris Lamb has acquired space in Birmingham’s prestigious shopping complex The Mailbox on behalf of a luxury lighting retailer.

iLite appointed Harris Lamb to identify a suitable site for its new showroom, to add to its flagship store in Hockley and add the city centre site.

In securing unit 16, The Mailbox, Harris Lamb negotiated lease terms to provide commercial protection throughout the ten-year term.

A full fit out is now underway at the new site in readiness for a planned October opening.

David Walton, head of retail for Harris Lamb, said: “iLite is a is a market-leading lighting retailer with more than 35 years experience in providing residential, luxury and commercial lighting solutions to its client-base.

“While the business operated the largest lighting showroom in the UK at its Soho Hill address, the owners felt that the nature of the brands iLite partners with, and the calibre of its clientele, they also required a prestigious address within the city’s retail hub.

“Having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, and being home to high-end department store Harvey Nichols and designer outlets including Boss, Paul Smith and Tommy Hilfiger, the business agreed that The Mailbox was an ideal location and catchment area for iLite’s target audience, where the business will sit alongside fellow home and lifestyle retailers Kitchen Gallery and Castle Fine Art,” he said.

iLite has more than 35 years experience within the lighting retail sector and is an exclusive partner to a number of premium designer brands.

The new store is scheduled to open on October 1st.
