JOHN PEARCE APPOINTED TO PLANNING TEAM
His appointment is part of the company’s on-going growth plan, which has seen Harris Lamb invest in its planning resource significantly over the past 18 months, with both the launch of its residential and affordable housing division and its acquisition of Worcester-based planners Malcolm Scott Consultants.

Patrick Downes, Director, said: “John’s appointment further strengthens this department. He has worked across a wide range of sectors and has extensive experience within the residential field, having worked with a number of developers including Cornish Homes and Crest Nicholson.

“The combination of experience gained from consultancy and within the house building industry makes John a real asset to the business. His understanding of the commercial objectives that house-builders face will add further weight to our team, and he will make a positive contribution to the delivery of new homes within the region.

“We already undertake a lot of strategic planning work for a variety of clients and we believe that the workload in this area, particularly in the wider Midlands, is going to see significant growth in the coming years and John’s addition to the team will bring considerable expertise to this area of planning.  John is already working on a variety of residential and commercial projects with us,” he added.

John said: “Harris Lamb has an excellent reputation within the West Midlands and beyond, and I was attracted to the variety offered by the business and the range of sectors it operates within. I hope that this position will afford me the opportunity to achieve diversity in my day-to-day work, and that my existing skills have a positive contribution to the team.”

John joins the business from Amec Foster Wheeler, where he was a principal consultant.
