“I’ve passed too!”
With my colleague Alex Eagleton passing his APC and becoming a chartered surveyor a couple of weeks ago I am really pleased to have joined him in that ‘elite club’. I received my result last week and also passed first time – what a relief and what a sense of achievement.
The story of how I came to become a qualified surveyor working in the Planning team at Harris Lamb is a long one. Having started at the company over 10 years ago as a part time receptionist and studied with the Open University for a Law degree, which I passed, I have worked my way through the company to my current role in the Planning department working under the Directors Pat Downes and Simon Hawley.
As a fee earner active across the commercial and residential development sectors, like Alex, I am now looking forward to cementing my client relationships and helping develop myself further.
The satisfaction of passing the APC and becoming chartered marks the beginning of the next phase of my career as a professionally qualified surveyor and planner.
