Getting Qualified
Becoming a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, is a ‘big thing’. Having qualified last week you can imagine I am pretty pleased to add the letters MRICS after my name. What does this mean though?
Given that membership entails a continuous programme of learning and technical updates even when qualified means the work doesn’t stop there, that’s for sure. I guess it marks the ‘end of the beginning’ somehow or at least the end of the process of formal education that I have followed from school to university and onwards in the work place.
What being MRICS will hopefully give me, is the added credibility with colleagues and clients alike, that I have been recognised as a competent, skilled practitioner and able to make my way in the world as a Chartered Surveyor.
Getting qualified is the ‘real deal’ for me!
