£440,000 REFURBISHMENT PROJECT COMPLETED AT MINWORTH TRADE PARK

Building consultants at Harris Lamb have completed a £440,000 refurbishment of a warehouse at Minworth Industrial Park: the latest in a series of refurbishment projects at the site.

Acting for the landlord CBRE Global Investors, the business was instructed to provide a Terminal Schedule of Dilapidations due to the upcoming lease expiry of the property’s former tenant, before specifying and project managing the refurbishment and upgrade works to the unit.

Marcus Andrew, who was responsible for the project, said: “We have overseen a number of refurbishment works at the park over the past 18 months, with the aim of providing high-quality warehousing at this important Midlands commercial site.

“Following the vacation of the previous occupier, the landlords tasked us with bringing this property up to the standard of its neighbouring units.

“Over a three-month period, we oversaw a refurbishment and upgrade programme at the  21,261sq ft property, which included  new roofs, external and internal decoration and repairs, new ceilings, lighting and services.

“The newly refurbished unit is now being marketed by our Agency team,” he added.

Other occupiers at the park include Screwfix, Magnet Kitchens, ARCO and MKM Building Supplies, which opened its new £1.5million design and build trade counter unit last week.
