Food-store redevelopment in Kidsgrove
The former AHH Pharmaceuticals Distribution warehouse on Linley Lane, Kidsgrove, North Staffordshire has recently been granted outline permission for redevelopment.
Harris Lamb advised long-standing owners of the site, Realty Estates, who are based in Manchester, alongside DPP Planning Consultants and RGP Architects.
The planning consent is for a supermarket and 15 office and industrial units. The development will total 109,000 sq ft. Lidl and Netto have shown interest in the 14,600 sq ft food store, but a deal has yet to be agreed.
The supermarket would front the development and Realty hopes it would attract occupiers, such as trade counter retailers, to take space. Planning adviser Mark Aylward, associate partner at DPP in Manchester, says the scheme is helped by the fact there are no suitable sites in Kidsgrove town centre for a supermarket.
Andrew Groves of Harris Lamb’s Stoke on Trent Office is available to speak with anyone who may have a requirement for either industrial, trade or office space in the area.
