Harris Lamb receive resolution to extend the life of a major retail planning permission.
Harris Lamb has recently been granted a resolution in principle to extend the life of a major retail planning permission in Bromsgrove.
In 2005 Harris Lamb secured planning permission for the development of 3,716sq.m retail warehouse with an external bulk store sales area. Planning permission was granted by the Secretary of State following a call in inquiry. The opportunity to implement the planning application expires in 2010. Harris Lamb was therefore instructed to prepare a new application to extend the life of the permission.
Following negotiations with the Council and the Environment Agency, Harris Lamb have now successfully secured a recommendation to grant planning permission from the Local Authority. The planning application is currently with the Government Office who are considering the application however it is hoped that full planning permission will be granted soon.
The retail warehouse will help to complement Bromsgrove’s shopping offer; ultimately resulting in the regeneration of the former employment site creating new jobs and shopping opportunities in the area.
