SELLERS SECURES KEMP HOSPICE AS OCCUPIER FOR HAGLEY RETAIL STORE
Sellers Chartered Surveyors have let a Black Country retail unit to a Worcestershire hospice charity.
The former Happy Families clothes shop at 100 Worcester Road, Hagley, has been leased by KEMP Hospice, which has a widespread presence throughout the Wyre Forest area.
The 1,046 sq ft property will be KEMP Hospice’s seventh outlet within the region, comprising two floors of retail space to sell quality ladies clothing and goods donated by the local community to raise funds for the essential services the charity provides.
KEMP Hospice provides specialist care and support services to patients, families and carers throughout Wyre Forest who are living with a life-limiting illness or bereavement.
There is a great deal of support from the surrounding community, which has seen KEMP Hospice operate a number of successful shops, with a specialist bridal boutique and a furniture store amongst its network in addition to a dedicated donation centre and an online eBay store.
The letting was overseen by Matthew Pearcey of Sellers, part of the Harris Lamb group of companies.
Matthew said: “The Worcester Road property offers two floors of retail space occupying a prominent position in a popular area.”
Gary Barnes, Head of Retail for KEMP Hospice, said: “We’re really pleased to have worked with Sellers Chartered Surveyors to help us secure a space in Hagley and expand our retail operations. At KEMP, we never charge for the care and support services we provide, and all proceeds raised in our shops help to ensure we can continue to be there for people when they need us. We’re excited to be a part of the bustling Hagley community and look forward to welcoming everyone once the shop is open.”
The Hagley shop will be the seventh in the charity’s local network, with the other KEMP shops being located in Bewdley, Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn and Spennells, in addition to KEMP Bridal, KEMP Furniture and KEMP Clearance, all of which are based in Kidderminster. The organisation also has an eBay store for shopping online.
The KEMP Shop at Worcester Road is in the final stages of preparation with the fixtures and fittings currently being installed. Once complete, the store will open its doors to welcome customers this Summer.
