Alex joined Harris Lamb’s Ecology team in June 2026, further to having worked with the business as an environmental subcontractor for 12 months.

The move followed a career change for Alex, who has a background in counselling and psychotherapy, prior to him pursuing a career in ecology on a self-employed basis in 2025.

After providing valuable support collecting data for reports and participating in a wide range of surveys, from carrying out reptile, bat and badger surveys to reviewing trail camera and Night Vision Aid footage, he pursued a full time position within the business, and with demonstrable green credentials and ecological accountability now an essential requirement within the planning process, he was a great fit for the expanding team.
