BUILDING CONSULTANTS COMPLETE LATEST REFURBISHMENT WORKS AT COVENTRY INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

Building consultants at Harris Lamb have completed work on the refurbishment of a warehouse on a Coventry industrial estate.

Ropemaker Properties instructed the business to manage the refurbishment of Unit 5A and 5B at Seven Stars Industrial Estate on Wheler Road further to the former tenant vacating the property last year.

The landlord embarked on an extensive refurbishment programme last year as properties became vacant to enable the units to be marketed on a fully refurbished basis.

Marcus Andrew, who oversaw the project, said: “Over the past year we have undertaken a number of refurbishment projects across this estate as the landlord takes the opportunity to overhaul its properties and improve their condition prior to marketing them to new occupiers.

“Following the property being vacated last year, we were initially instructed to inspect the property to provide a Terminal Schedule of Dilapidations and to negotiate a dilapidations settlement figure.

“Following successful negotiations, we were then instructed to specify, and project manage the refurbishment and strip out works to put the property back into its original condition in order for our Agency team to market the opportunity.

“The total cost of the project was circa £340,000, bringing the refurbishment programme across the estate to date to over £1million.
