HARRIS LAMB SHARES UPDATE ON NEW RETAIL DEVELOPMENT IN SWAFFHAM
Work is progressing well on a £1.62million retail development in Norfolk, where Harris Lamb’s Building Consultancy team are appointed as project managers.
Work on Brandon Road Shopping Centre, in Swaffham, started in September, where the business has been instructed by Redleaf (Swaffham) Limited to oversee the six-month construction of the 9,132 sq ft complex.

Paul Wells, Director, said: “The shopping centre is part of an edge-of-town development on the southern outskirts of Swaffham which, when complete, will also deliver 200 homes and a care home.
“Abel Homes is currently building Cygnet Rise, a development of 160 energy-efficient family properties, a 64-bed care home and 40 assisted-living homes for older people at the site off Brandon Road, creating a brand new community it the area, and this retail scheme is being delivered to service it.
“We are now halfway through the project, which comprises of seven units, with parking for 32 vehicles including up to eight EV charging points. Tesco Express has signed a pre-let agreement on Unit 1, a prime 3,750 sq ft opportunity within the centre.

“The scheme is expected to reach practical completion in February 2026, providing a range of retail services to residents,” he added.
Northampton-based Warwick Burt has been appointed as contractor on the complex.
