HARRIS LAMB APPOINTS SENIOR PLANNER ED SIMCOX

Harris Lamb has expanded its planning team with the appointment of a Senior Planner.

Ed Simcox joins the business from Wychavon District Council, bringing extensive knowledge of residential and employment land projects to the team.

Patrick Downes, Director, said: “We are delighted that Ed has joined the business. He brings extensive experience within the sector, having spent almost five years working at a consultancy level and a further three for the local authority.

“Our team undertakes a lot of work within the Wychavon area, and with Ed being part of the authority’s development management team, we had built up a good working relationship with him and were impressed with his professionalism and his knowledge.”

Ed, who has a BSc in Geography and Environmental Management and a post-graduate diploma in Environmental and Spatial Planning, said he was attracted to the business due to the diverse range of projects he would be involved in.

Ed added: “During my time at Wychavon District Council I worked with the policy team to assist with the Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment, something I look forward to building on in my new role.

“I am looking forward to working at Harris Lamb, having worked with the business whilst working in Development Management for Wychavon District Council and being aware of the extent of the projects undertaken in the South Worcestershire area and the wider West Midlands.

“The opportunity to work for a well-established company that deals with a wide range of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects was something that I couldn’t turn down.”
