DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SPECIALISTS EDM MOVE INTO HARTLEBURY TRADING ESTATE

A document management company has taken occupation of a 60,000 sq ft of commercial space on Worcestershire’s largest business park.

The EDM Group has taken on Unit 10 at Hartlebury Trading Estate, having signed a five-year lease on the warehouse to allow its expansion.

Neil Slade, of joint agent Harris Lamb, who oversaw the deal added: “With high-quality commercial space in short supply throughout the Midlands, Hartlebury Trading Estate is enjoying huge success at present due to its location, its convenient access to the motorway network and the high standard of services it offers to its occupiers.

“A £3 million refurbishment was undertaken across the Estate last year that saw new roofs on a number of units including Unit 10 and a site-wide security upgrade. This has only strengthened the park’s position for businesses seeking a new address within the Midlands and is why we now have a record low void on the Estate.”

Rupert Jeffries, of Collingwood Rigby, asset managers for the estate, said: “Unit 10 was the largest available warehouse on the estate, and further to completing an extensive refurbishment program across the site last year, EDM has chosen to locate its operation here.

“The business has a global presence and took on the warehouse to support its additional Midlands site in Wolverhampton, attracted to our central location, logistics links and high-specification units and services.

“The past 18 months has seen us attract a number of high-profile new occupiers, and we’re delighted to welcome EDM to the site. Space at the Estate remains in high demand, with vacancy levels at a record low.”

Established in 1974, EDM has a global presence and has been a pioneer for paperless, digital systems, with a high-profile client portfolio including HMRC, the NHS, Nationwide Building Society and Legal & General.

Avison Young acted for EDM.
