HARRIS LAMB APPOINTS RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY MANAGER

Harris Lamb has started 2022 with the appointment of a residential property manager to help grow the department as part of its business development strategy.

The business, which manages a diverse range of commercial properties across the country, branched out into residential property more than five years ago, overseeing rent collections and landlord and tenant liaison on a number of apartments, owned by commercial clients.

James Van Nijkerk has now joined the team to help develop the department in 2022.

James brings 18 years’ experience within the property management sector, most recently handling high net worth clients with extensive property portfolios. He joins the business from Urban Village Capital.

Shirley Greenlees, Director, said: “James has a strong estate agency background, which is extremely valuable within this department as it operates separately from our commercial arm.

“James has a proven track record in adapting quickly to different aspects within an ever-evolving industry and brings a wide range of knowledge and experience related to maintenance, industry compliance, statutory legislation, supply chain and contract negotiations.  We are delighted to have him on board.”

James added: “I was excited to join Harris Lamb due to their strong presence in the Midlands and the great reputation they have within the wider property industry, and I look forward to working with the team to grow the department further this year.”
