ADVICE ON THE APC PATHWAY: CAROLYN QUINN JOINS EXPERT RICS PANEL
Carolyn Quinn, of Harris Lamb’s Lease Advisory team, has been asked again by RICS Matrics to be part of a six-strong panel taking part in the APC candidate support seminar Debunking the Interview later today having previously assisted with a panel in 2025.
The seminar, which is to takes place at the RICS Birmingham office on Colmore Row is aimed at surveyors nearing the end of the APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) pathway looking for insight into the APC interview process and preparing themselves for their final assessments.
The interactive panel event brings experienced assessors and newly chartered surveyors from both the real estate and construction sectors and gives attendees the opportunity to hear first-hand insights and ask questions to help them hone their applications.
Carolyn said: “The APC is a time-consuming and often gruelling undertaking, requiring a minimum of two years on-the-job experience, written submissions and practical case studies.
“The final hurdle in the challenge is the interview, which is a daunting prospect when it’s the only thing standing in your way of securing those five valuable letters after your name.
“This session is designed to help those nearing the final stage of the process prepare for the day and benefit from practical advice and support as they build their confidence ahead of it. I’m flattered to have been asked to take part again, and hope that it brings clarity and reassurance to anyone joining us,” she added.
Carolyn will be joined by Mollie Wilson of Arcadis, Luke Nowacki and Abigail Bailey of CBRE, Izzy Clarke of Savills and Elliott Cairney of MGAC.
Debunking the Interview will take place from 4.30-6pm and is free to attend. To reserve a space, visit: https://www.rics.org/training-events/networking-events/rics-matrics-birmingham-apc-support-debunking-interview-panel-discussion.
