HARRIS LAMB IDENTIFIES NEW EDGBASTON OFFICE LOCATION FOR LORICA INSURANCE

Harris Lamb has successfully negotiated a ‘consolidation’ deal on behalf of Lorica Insurance, taking on new offices for the business in Edgbaston.

The insurance company tasked Harris Lamb’s Agency team with finding a new site for its Birmingham operation, having decided its existing offices at 27 Highfield Road were too large for its needs.

Tom Morley, who oversaw the deal, said: “Lorica felt that they were under-using their Highfield Road premises, and asked us to identify an alternative, smaller address.

“The business was keen to retain an Edgbaston location, and we negotiated with our contacts at Calthorpe Estates, who are landlords of the Highfield Road property, to identify a more suitable premises without compromising on the prestigious postcode.

“Our Building team worked closely with us to conduct building surveys and produce schedules of condition for the buildings and we successfully surrendered the former lease and negotiated a new term for the business at 43 Calthorpe Road, which is also owned by Calthorpe Estates. At 4,000 sq ft, the property was ideal for Lorica’s needs, while still offering a prestigious city location.
