SUPER SPEEDY FI COMPLETES THE WORCESTER CITY 10K

Congratulations to Harris Lamb’s super-fit running fiend Fiona Mellor, who added another string to her bow this weekend when she completed the Worcester City 10K run and achieved a new personal best.

Fiona joined 2,500 competitors at the start-line lined up for the Worcester City 10K, Run-Bike-Run and Young Athletes Run, joining a host club and fun runners, along with elite runners such as European 10,000m champion Jo Pavey, local star Jenny Nesbitt, and veteran world record holders Anthony Whiteman and Angela Copson.

A regular participant in distance runs, Fiona said that the run was a great experience.

“The sun shone, there was a brilliant number of participants – 50 per cent more than last year – and it was a really lovely event. It’s not every day that you get to run in an event with Jo Pavey, and even though I managed a new personal best, she still managed to beat me quite convincingly,” she said.
