HARRIS LAMB’S VALUATION TEAM REPORTS RECORD YEAR

Harris Lamb’s Valuation team is gearing up for a busy 2026 following its most successful year to date.

2025 saw the team value in excess of £300 million worth of property, resulting in a 15% increase in turnover, with a resurgence of loan security valuations from the banking sector a key contributing factor.

In addition to providing real time expert valuation advice for major High Street Banks, the team provides a full range of services to a wide selection of clients from corporate clients to developers and investors as well as Local Authorities and landowners.

HARRIS LAMB’S VALUATION TEAM REPORTS RECORD YEARFiona Mellor, Head of Valuation, said: “Harris Lamb’s relocation to its new Brindleyplace head office started an exciting year for us, which led to 2025 being a record year. Our department has grown from strength to strength, with six RICS Registered Valuers working on a national client portfolio, and we are currently seeking another qualified valuer to join the business to support our ever-expanding workload.

“Whilst we have seen a resurgence of loan security valuations from the High Street Banks, we have also seen instructions flood in from Pension Fund providers as clients sought to re-assess their property holdings – particularly in the run up to the Budget.

Fiona said that amongst the projects overseen by the team were the valuation of 16 blue light property assets in West Midlands, valuation and development advice in respect of ground leases for NHS Trusts across the country, acquisition advice for a 180,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse in Leicestershire and probate valuation advice for a large portfolio of industrial investment properties in Nottinghamshire.

The team is also retained to provide annual accounts valuations for a range of high-profile commercial assets in Birmingham.

Fiona said that the business anticipates another strong performance in 2026 as operators seek expert guidance and transparency for the year ahead.

“Providing real time valuation advice and insights is crucial when it comes to advising our clients in quantifying the impact on values to help them make informed decisions, particularly during challenging economic conditions,” she added.
