HEART OF ENGLAND CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY UNVEILS NEW LOCAL CENTRE IN WARWICK

A new mixed-use development in Warwick has launched, with Heart of England Co-Operative Society taking occupation at the site.

The society has also invested in a parade of retail units opposite to establish a community focused neighbourhood scheme.

The multi-million pound Local Centre, located next to Heathcote Primary School at the junction of Harbury Lane and Vickers Way, opened last month, with crowds gathering at the launch.

Harris Lamb’s Retail team acquired the 8,500 ft sq development last year on behalf of the Society, and the business has worked closely with LSP Developments to secure planning and construction at the centre over the past few months.

The complex will include a 4,000 sq ft anchor store, a dental practice, and a fish chip shop. A licence has also been submitted for a pharmacy.

David Walton, who oversaw the acquisition for Heart of England Co-operative, said: “We are proud to have worked closely with the society to bring this scheme forward, securing permissions and partnerships to bring this Local Centre to fruition.

“The Heart of England Co-operative Society is well respected for forging strong links with local communities, and we carried out extensive local research to establish what businesses would be the best fit for such a facility in the area,” he added.
