COUNCIL GIVES GREEN LIGHT FOR 85 NEW HOMES IN NUNEATON

Harris Lamb has secured permission for 85 new homes close to Nuneaton on behalf on a West Midlands developer.

Acting for St Philips (formerly UKLD Ltd), the business’ planning team submitted outline plans for the eight-acre site in Ash Green, which were met with approval by Nuneaton and Bedworth Council.

The land, located off Wheelwright Lane and Burbages Lane, is now set to be redeveloped into a collection of two, three and four-bedroom houses.

John Pearce, of Harris Lamb’s planning team, said: “There is a real demand for quality new homes within Nuneaton and Bedworth, and we are delighted to have been granted permission for this scheme.

“As an allocated site within the Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Plan, the area lends itself well to residential redevelopment, and the proposed combination of homes met with councillors’ approval, subject to policy compliant affordable housing contributions being made along with contributions to public open space.”

Subject to reserved matters approval, construction on the development is expected to start in 2021.
