HARRIS LAMB SELLS ASTON WAREHOUSE FOR OVER £800,000

Agents at Harris Lamb have sold an Aston warehouse to an undisclosed buyer for more than £800,000.

The 5,921 sq ft property, Unit 8, Windsor Industrial Estate, was placed on the market with a £895,000 price-tag, and in spite of rising interest rates throughout 2023, enquiry levels around the opportunity were high.

Located just a mile from Birmingham City Centre on Rupert Street, a popular commercial area of Aston, the property comprises of a 6.05m eaves height, ground and first floor office accommodation, kitchen and WC facilities and 12 parking spaces, with access to Junction 6 of the M6 and the wider UK motorway network lying just two miles away via the A38 Aston Expressway.

Thomas Morley, of Harris Lamb’s Commercial Agency team, who oversaw the sale, said: “This sale is an excellent result, particularly in light of the financial insecurity of the past 18 months, and concerns from potential buyers over escalating interest rates.

“In spite of those issues, there is still a a huge appetite from owner-occupiers to buy their own front door, and from investors keen to secure property in order to capitalise on the continuing lack of supply of industrial property available to lease within the Midlands.

“The property was purchased by an owner occupier who acknowledged the difficulty in procuring opportunities due to the drastic scarcity of quality industrial/warehouse stock for sale across the Midlands.
