HARRIS LAMB RELOCATES TO NEW WORCESTER OFFICE AS BUSINESS CONTINUES TO GROW

Harris Lamb has relocated the Worcester arm of its business to larger premises in order to meet the ongoing demand for its services within the region.

The business, which has five other Midlands offices, has had a presence within Worcester City Centre since 1998, but has now closed its St Mary’s Street office to relocate to a new office at The Triangle on Wildwood Drive, just minutes from the M5.

Charles D’Auncey, Director of the business, said: “The leadership team have discussed relocating the Worcester office for a number of years as our team has developed and the number of people operating from the region has grown, and this year, after over 20 years in St Mary’s Street, we’ve made the decision to do just that.

“When we first opened our Worcester office, with four members of staff based there, the team was exponentially smaller, but with more than 85 people operating out of our six sites, we needed a much larger facility with extensive parking to enable all of our departments to collaborate on projects, as well as good motorway access to enable everyone to move between offices with ease and to service a national client base as conveniently as possible.

“Our new site ticks all of the boxes, and with significant investment having been ploughed into Worcestershire, Herefordshire and with an ever-expanding number of instructions within the Gloucestershire market and along the M5 corridor, its close proximity to junctions six and seven of the M5 and the wider motorway network is a huge advantage.

Harris Lamb, which marked its 30th anniversary last year, has grown significantly, acquiring complementary businesses to strengthen its offering, establishing new departments and opening new offices.

In 2015 it acquired Worcester-based specialist garden centre planners Malcolm Scott Consultants, which has in turn expanded to offer full design and operational support to rural businesses and rebranded as Malcolm Scott. The business also brought Black Country Chartered Surveyors Sellers under its umbrella in 2019, and expanded into Shropshire with the launch of its Telford office last year.

Charles added: “The continuing growth of the business is something we are extremely proud of, particularly in light of the challenges the sector has faced over the past three years. It’s is essential to us that as our client portfolio increases the whole team are readily able continue to provide the excellent service that we pride ourselves on delivering, and this relocation will ensure we are able to do just that.”

The business has a strong Commercial Agency presence within Worcestershire, being retained as agents on prominent sites including Worcester Six Business Park, Hartlebury Trading Estate, Potter Space, Whittington Hall and Haynes Point, while the Building Consultancy and Planning teams have overseen a number of large instructions within the region including planning, construction and refurbishment projects for Fortis Housing, dilapidation works at Cranham Industrial Estate and Blackpole Industrial Estate, and securing planning permission for residential schemes on behalf of Redrow Homes and Bloor Homes.

Harris Lamb’s new address is Unit 4, The Triangle, Wildwood Drive, Worcester WR5 2QX.
