TEAM HL HEADS NORTH TO SUPPORT HORSE TIME IN THE BUCCLEUCH PROPERTY CHALLENGE

Team HL recently headed North to take part in an industry-wide challenge to put their mental and physical capabilities to the test at the Buccleuch Property Challenge.

Matthew Tilt, Neil Slade and Tom Morley made up the Harris Lamb contingent in the event at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway, as one of 85 rival teams from the property sector, with tasks including running, mountain biking, orienteering and paddle boarding.

This event aimed to raise £10,000 for Horse Time, – a target it has well and truly smashed, with the total currently standing at £15,000 and counting – a mental health charity working with a herd of 13 therapeutic horses and ponies to provide psychological trauma therapy for people of all ages and backgrounds, from children to veterans, helping to overcome and adapt following adverse life experiences.

Matthew said: “This was a fantastic event – the weather was on our side and it was a real experience taking part in various challenges together in such a superb setting. We were placed a respectable 37th out of 85, which we were pretty pleased with, and most importantly, we helped raise awareness of, and vital funds for, an innovative and valuable mental health charity. We like to thank everyone involved for a well-planned and thoroughly enjoyable competition.”
