HARRIS LAMB LETS COVENTRY RETAIL OUTLET TO ESTABLISHED MIDLANDS LOCKSMITH

Harris Lamb’s Retail team has secured a new letting in Coventry in spite of the UK’s current lockdown situation.

Lee Clements & Sons Locksmiths has signed a new lease on a retail unit at 473 Beake Avenue.

The respected Warwickshire-based family business has signed the lease as part of its ongoing expansion and is now embarking on a refit of the unit with a view to launching when retail restrictions are lifted in the coming weeks.

Harris Lamb Lets Coventry Retail Out to Established Midlands Locksmith

David Walton, Head of Retail at Harris Lamb, said: “This is a really heartening situation. Retail news in the past two months has been incredibly gloomy, so it really is a pleasure to be able to say that we’ve overseen this letting.

“Lee Clements have an excellent reputation throughout the Midlands, and with operations covering Coventry, Leicester, Birmingham and Warwick the business wanted to firm up its public face with a retail outlet.

“The Beake Avenue site is located on an established retail parade, with a prominent position and free parking to the front of the property. With the current Lockdown restrictions in place, the landlord and Lee liaised carefully to ensure that appropriate distancing measures were adhered to regarding the negotiations, and will continue to do so throughout the refit process,” he added.

Lee Clements said: “Like many businesses, we have used the past few weeks to plan for the future. As an emergency response business, our team has continued to work throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and having worked hard to build up a trusted reputation throughout the West and East Midlands we had already discussed the next steps in our expansion plans.

“This retail property is well-located with good access links to service the surrounding areas, and has excellent visibility to increase awareness of our operation to the local community, whereupon we will be offering a fully comprehensive locksmith service to include all types of key cutting for commercial, domestic and auto, as well as the sale of locks and safes along with other architectural ironmongery.

“We are looking forward to opening the new Clements outlet in due course, when it is safe to do so.”
