HARRIS LAMB SELLS WOLVERHAMPTON WAREHOUSE TO BABY GOODS FIRM FOR £1.3M

Harris Lamb has sold a Wolverhampton warehouse to a baby equipment supplier for £1.3 million.

Willenhall-based Baby Travel Ltd, one of the biggest and best-known baby goods retailer in the UK, will use the Linthouse Lane site in Wednesfield as a storage and distribution hub.

Tom Morley of the Industrial Agency team oversaw the deal, said a lack of sizeable, quality stock had resulted in a speedy turnaround time for the deal on the 49,000 sq ft site.

“There is a real lack of freehold stock of this size and standard across the Black Country. Occupiers in the region tend to love the chance to ‘buy their own front door’ and opportunities to do are increasingly rare.

“As a result, Baby Travel committed immediately to ensure they didn’t miss out on the opportunity and the sale went through very quickly.

“The premises itself combines a secure warehouse with loading and parking facilities and internal office space as well as benefitting from an excellent, central location and good access links to the rest of the UK.

The deal is the latest in a series of high-profile sales and lettings completed by Harris Lamb’s Agency team this year, resulting in them being named the top industrial agent in the West Midlands at the prestigious industry CoStar Awards last week in the availability, deals and instructions categories.
