COVENTRY REPTILE SPECIALISTS UNVEIL NEW HOME AFTER RELOCATING TO FORMER GYM

A former Coventry gym has begun a new lease of life as a specialist reptile store after Harris Lamb’s retail team secured KBN Reptiles as a new occupier for the property.

KBN Reptiles opened its doors at 11 Longfellow Road this month further to signing a 10-year lease and fitting out the 2,112 sq ft unit, formerly occupied by Sports 4 All.

David Walton, Head of Retail for Harris Lamb, said: “KBN Reptiles has been long established within Coventry, having launched as the only specialist reptile retailer in the city in 2011.

“Earlier this year, the redevelopment of their former premises for the Southside City Development meant they needed to relocate, and they approached us looking for a suitable site close to their existing client-base.

“This property was ideal for the business. Longfellow Road enjoys a lot of footfall, and this property benefits from free parking and is located within a retail complex just two miles from the team’s previous site and three miles from the motorway network, well-positioned for visitors travelling from further afield for the team’s advice.

“The team has spent the past few weeks renovating the site to suit the Reptiles’ needs, and are now open for business,” he added.

Katie Hodgkins, owner of KBN Reptiles, said: “We have spent two months working tirelessly to create the shop we wanted in order to open our doors and welcome customers from this month.

“Since 2011 the shop has come a long way, not only moving premises but introducing an extensive breeding programme with many species, and expanding into many different product lines. We are delighted with the new site and look forward to welcoming new and existing customers,” she added.
