HARRIS LAMB JOIN ST BASIL’S HIKE FOR THE HOMELESS

Property consultancy Harris Lamb is Shropshire-bound later this month to help raise funds for St Basil’s, an established charity and housing association that provides accommodation and support to young homeless people.

The business has assembled three teams who will tackle a range of challenging walks in the Long Mynd area of Shropshire on June 25th as they raise sponsorship money for the organisation as part of its Hike for the Homeless fundraiser.

Tom Morley, who is leading one of the teams, said: “St Basil’s has devised three different routes to suit different abilities, with each one starting and finishing in the market town of Church Stretton.. We have one team taking part in a 24-mile long walk through the South Shropshire hills, while the other two teams will take part in the 13-mile medium walk.

“We are big supporters of St Basil’s which has provided vital support and accommodation to young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are vulnerable, homeless or at risk in the UK for almost 50 years.

“This walk will be a great opportunity for us to both enjoy the beautiful Shropshire scenery while raising vital funds to enable the charity to continue its work – every £5 contributed to the cause will house a vulnerable person for the night, so the efforts of our 14 hikers should make a real difference,” he said.
