FI’S FUND-RAISING RESOLUTION RUN

Congratulations are in order for our resident running fiend Fiona Mellor, who braved the miserable weather and the mud on Sunday to raise cash for the Stroke Association.
Fiona took part in one of the organisation’s Resolution Runs at Hagley Hall, where she completed a 10k cross country run, despite a deer attempting to end her running career as she tackled the first hill.

FI’S FUND-RAISING RESOLUTION RUNFiona said: “This was the first run I’ve done this year and it was great fun, and brilliant to get back out there, though the mud and random leaping wildlife made it a tougher challenge than I’d anticipated. I suspect the 400 or so runners invading their territory disrupted their usual lazy Sunday routine.
“It was a great experience, lots of camaraderie between the runners, and all in aid of a very worthwhile cause.”
